Outfit Review: Brooklyn Clothing Swap Day Party
As promised, here's a review of my outfit from this past Sunday's event!
TOP: I spotted this top on a mannequin in an American Eagle store window and was instantly drawn to it. It was so cute and I liked the color. As my cousin, sister, and I perused the store, I noticed that there was also a white version of the top on a mannequin inside the store. This was the second time that the style of the top made me do a double-take so I decided to look for it in the store. Since I couldn't find it, I ended up asking a store associate for help and they let me know that the ones on the mannequins were the last of their kind in the store! They also let me know that, because they were the last of their kind in that store, I could buy them under a clearance/sale price! I opted for the cream colored one pictured above and called it a shopping success!

JEANS: I wasn't exactly looking for jeans when I spotted these. My shopping buddies and I were just looking for a sweet deal. Thankfully for me, I spotted these jeans on GAP's sale rack and decided to give the look a try-on. I was really happy with the way they fit and, since they are a different style than any of my other jeans, I decided to go for it!

SHOES: The sandals I'm wearing in the pic above were a sweet find from a shopping trip last summer. I happened upon Mandee's store in the Manhattan Mall and spotted them on the store's sandal/shoe wall. I really like how both the simple style and pop of color in the thong part of the shoe help it stay versatile and fun.

BAG: Another shopping win! An old co-worker of mine suggested that we check out a Rebecca Minkoff edition of the 260 Sample Sale around the end of October 2017. I hadn't heard much (if anything) about the 260 sale and it sounded interesting so I decided to join her and check it out. It was such a nice experience and I ended up leaving with this bright bag that fits so very well with NYC Summer activities!

SUNGLASSES: One thing that's important to note is that I haven't worn sunglasses on a regular basis in the past (that's slowly changing though!). Last Saturday, I decided to use a SoHo shopping trip to pick up a pair to wear for the remainder of the Summer. I searched a few stores before I found the ones above at Uniqlo! The style's name is "Boston Bridge" and I have them in brown.

And that's it for today! Let me know your thoughts by leaving a comment below. Thanks for reading! :)
